Formal operating standards and client agreements for Signal5 Consultancy.
Signal5 is a managed cloud consultancy based in Ireland. By engaging our services, the Client acknowledges that Signal5 provides architectural configuration and managed optimization of client-owned Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. This is a professional technical service, not a software product or utility.
Delivery is defined as the successful provisioning of a Dedicated US Network Node. Final delivery is verified via a live Network Integrity Audit (onboarding session). Once the node is validated as active and consistent with the provisioned environment, the service is deemed fully rendered and completed.
The stability of the provisioned network relies on the Client maintaining a Controlled Hardware Environment. Signal5 is not liable for any "Origin-Network Exposure" (connectivity collisions), network identity inconsistencies, or third-party platform restrictions resulting from:
Total Signup Fee: The fees applicable to your engagement are agreed individually and confirmed in writing prior to any payment being taken. Payment is processed securely via Stripe.
Non-Refundable Setup Fee: The agreed setup fee is a service-based charge for professional technical labor. This fee is 100% non-refundable once the technical onboarding session has commenced, as specialised labor has been initiated.
Cancellation: Refunds are only eligible if requested via email at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled onboarding session.
Monthly Retainer: The agreed monthly retainer is billed in advance and is non-refundable once the billing cycle begins.
The Client maintains full ownership of the underlying AWS account. Signal5 is a technical manager only. All third-party infrastructure usage costs are the sole responsibility of the Client and are billed directly by the provider (AWS).
The Client retains ultimate "Administrative Control" over the underlying AWS infrastructure. SignalFive's role is strictly limited to advisory configuration and managed optimisation. As the Client maintains the primary account relationship with the cloud provider, SignalFive acts solely as a technical manager under the Client's direction.
Signal5 is not liable for service interruptions caused by upstream providers (AWS), hardware failure, or changes in third-party platform algorithms. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the most recent service period.
Under no circumstances shall SignalFive be liable for lost profits, loss of business revenue, loss of data, or any indirect, incidental, or punitive damages — including but not limited to the loss of brand partnerships or commercial opportunities — regardless of the cause of action.
Nothing in this agreement creates a partnership, joint venture, or employer-employee relationship. Signal5 acts as an independent contractor providing technical expertise.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Both parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts for the resolution of any disputes.
Signal5 operates under a strict Managed Infrastructure Model. Unlike standard software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers, we do not own the network infrastructure. All provisioning occurs within the Client’s private Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. This ensures the Client maintains total sovereignty and control over their own data and network traffic.
As a consultancy, Signal5 provides the architectural design but does not operate as a data carrier. We do not log, store, monitor, or inspect the content of the data traffic moving through your provisioned network node. Your traffic flows directly from your hardware to your isolated AWS environment; Signal5 has no technical visibility into your browsing history or data packets.
We collect only the minimum data required to deliver our professional technical services:
To provide our professional services, we utilize industry-standard third-party providers:
Signal5 does not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third-party marketing or data-mining firms.
To fulfill our obligations under the Managed Retainer, Signal5 maintains persistent IAM (Identity and Access Management) access to the Client’s provisioned AWS environment. This access is strictly utilized for operational oversight, including monitoring node uptime, performing health checks, and managing architectural fail-safes. We do not access Client data; our oversight is limited to the technical stability of the cloud infrastructure.
As an Irish-based consultancy, we comply with the Data Protection Acts 1988–2018 and the EU GDPR. You have the right to access, rectify, or request the erasure of your personal data held by us. For any data-related requests, please contact hello@signal5.io.
The setup fee applicable to your engagement is agreed individually and confirmed in writing prior to commencement. It is a service-based charge covering custom architectural design and 1-on-1 technical deployment labor.
The agreed monthly retainer covers ongoing node health monitoring, architectural updates, and fail-safe integrity checks. Retainer fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable once the billing cycle has started.
Cancellation: You can cancel your retainer at any time by emailing support@signal5.io. Cancellation stops future billing, but no pro-rata refunds are issued for the current month.
Upon completion of the live deployment, the Client will be asked to verify the active US Network Presence via email. This confirmation serves as the formal "Handover" of the provisioned environment. Once verified, the service is considered successfully delivered in full.
